It kinda sucks though because I only have USB 3.1 on my main computer but I'll try later to use the driver from 3.0 and manually install it, I'll see how that goes. It seems it simply can't keep the connection with USB 3.1 but I was successful on all computers with USB 3.0 to connect without any issues. I think it has to do with the "Intel USB 3.1 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.10 (Microsoft)" Driver OR port. I think I found the issue, I have multiple computers at my disposition so I could actually do some tests. Use the beta to convert to 4k MP4 video from the camera files and then edit in the other insta360 studio program. So you install the old version for the One and the beta version for the One X. I've found that you can edit 360 videos with pivot points on the PC using Insta360 studio (NOT the beta version). This is important though, there are 2 versions of the PC software. The entire software experience for the one x lacks polish.
